Ah..the elusive, ever-subjective, mysterious Wine Quality...
The wine adventure begins by uncorking that bottle of mystery wine.
That's all part of the fun, right?
Swinging from vine to vine, finding the ones that yield the best wine for your taste buds delight.
Asking if there's an objective way to determine wine quality is similar to the age-long question of if beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Except instead of a beautiful people, we're talking about a beautiful wine.
And here, much like in taste of attractiveness, people differ wildly in opinions and preferences.
And that's how it should be.
Variety is the spice of life! And it's no different with wine.
While professional wine judges would have us believe that high quality wine is a consistent and scientific fact, that's only partially true.
The other part is much more simple to follow: Trust your wine instincts. If you find a wine you love, then call it a good quality wine and enjoy it.
In your wine travels you will find both better and worse. Just don't overanalyze the wine while drinking, and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
